Aemrant is a worm affecting most of the Windows operating systems. These include: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows NT and Server 2003.

Like all worms, this attempts to spread itself to other computers. It does so by copying itself to removable drives on infected systems. Once these drives are removed and connected to another computer, the worm then spreads again to its removable drives.

This worm also has the ability to disable security software on infected computers. This will leave your computer more vulnerable to further harmful malware. The Aemrant worm also drops various files and adds new keys to the Registry, to ensure startup of the process at boot time.

This and other worms can be very harmful as they can enable more Malware on your system. You should scan your PC on a regular basis.

Ptopirate Worm

Ptopirate is a worm affecting most of the Windows operating systems. These include: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista.

The purpose of worms is to continue spreading to other computers and networks. This particular worm spreads by copying itself to removable drives and it also spreads via file sharing networks. For example, Ptopirate can download torrents from download sites. It will then rename itself as these torrents and copy them into folders of file sharing programs. Other users will then download the worm thinking it is a torrent.

For this reason, you should always be careful when downloading anything from a filesharing or torrent site. Always scan your computer on a regular basis with anti-virus and anti-spyware products.

Yimfoca Worm

This is a worm affecting Windows operating systems including: Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Server 2003.

Yimfoca spreads through links via Yahoo Messenger. If your computer is infected, it will create a file called "infocard.exe". It will also create "winbrd.jpg". The worm will also create new Registry keys in order to run the .exe file at startup. This also makes it more difficult to delete the file and its associated process.

W32.Avendog is a worm affecting Windows operating systems. These include: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows NT and Server 2003.

A worm is a type of virus that attempts to spread itself across systems and networks. The Avendog worm spreads by copying itself to all of the removable drives on an infected computer. When these drives are connected to another computer, it then spreads again in the same manner.

This worm also has the ability to open a backdoor. This makes it much more dangerous, as any backdoor can allow for data to be uploaded/downloaded from the infected computer. Further Malware can also be downloaded onto the computer via the backdoor.

If your computer is infected the worm will copy itself as MsCwClient.exe, it will also create a randomly named .dwq file.

W32.Custam Worm

This is a worm affecting most versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system including: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003. If you run any of these, you should scan your computer as soon as possible.

The Custam worm spreads by copying itself to removable drives on infected computers. This worm spreads itself by copying to removable drives on infected computers. It can also copy itself to internal drives and other drives that are mapped via the network etc.

The worm spreads via removable drives and it can be hidden in a clean program. So you may unknowingly install the worm and get infected without realizing. The worm can be very harmful as it connects to remote servers and can download or upload data. This can lead to further malware being installed on your computer. You also risk losing private and confidential data.
